$160,000 worth of cheese stolen in Wisconsin

It’s about the most “Wisconsin” crime a person could commit. But in all seriousness, police in Germantown are looking for thieves who stole more than $70,000 worth of cheese.

A trailer full of locally-made cheese was ready to be delivered around the country when the trailer was stolen Friday at D & G Transportation.

And that wasn’t even the largest cheese heist in Wisconsin this week.

“Approximately $90,000 worth of Parmesan cheese was missing from a logistics or storage facility here in Marshfield,” Lt. Darren Larson, Marshfield Police Department, said.

Police say they’re unaware of a connection between these two cheese thefts right now.
