OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Outagamie County Board has approved a new location for the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.

The new facility will be located on county-owned property at State Highway 15 and Casaloma Drive, west of Interstate 41. Construction is expected to start in late spring 2017.

This was not the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office’s first location choice. County Executive Tom Nelson vetoed the department’s first choice for a new location in a business park on Goodland Avenue because a company expressed interest in buying the property.

The new building will cost about $6 million, which includes construction escalation costs.
