WAUPUN, Wis. (WBAY) – Three people were arrested after an 18-year-old Randolph man was stabbed in Waupun.
The Waupun Police Department says it was dispatched at 12:38 a.m. Sunday to West Brown and Beaver Dam Streets. That’s where they found the victim, who told officers he was beaten up and stabbed at the 500 block of West Brown Street.
Police went to that home and called in the Dodge County SWAT Team. They took four people into custody. One of them, a 44-year-old Waupun man, was interviewed and released. The remaining three were arrested and taken to the Dodge County Jail.
An 18-year-old Waupun man was arrested for the stabbing on recommended charges of recklessly endangering safety, battery, disorderly conduct and obstructing justice. A 20-year-old Waupun man was arrested for a probation violation. A 37-year-old Waupun woman was arrested for a traffic offense warrant and a probation violation.
Police say they are still looking to speak with a 19-year-old Waupun man.
The victim was treated and released at a local hospital. He was the only person who suffered serious injuries, although his current condition is unknown.
Police consider this an isolated incident. They do not believe the community is in danger.
