OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh Police are investigating a strong armed robbery and an attempted robbery from over the weekend.
The attempted robbery happened shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Police say a man was walking in the area of E. Irving Ave. and Mt. Vernon St. when he saw three men.
One of the men pulled a knife and demanded money from the victim.
There was a struggle and the suspect didn’t get away with any money.
The man who approached the victim is described as a white male in his mid 20s; 5’8″ – 5’10” tall; shaggy hair; red spots on his neck and face; wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police say the two other men with the suspects are a white male and a black male.
All three ran north on Mt. Vernon St.
On Sunday, Sept. 18, police were called to the report of a strong armed robbery that happened in the 1100 block of High Ave.
Police say four men beat up another man before stealing his wallet and cash.
The suspects are described as two white men and two black men.
It is unknown if these crimes are connected, police say.
