DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – A 51-year-old Jacksonsport man has been arrested on multiple drug charges following a bust involving federal authorities.
The Door-Kewaunee Drug Task Force was alerted by authorities in California that a US Postal package containing heroin had been intercepted. It’s destination: the Town of Jacksonport.
On Sept. 21, local investigators and federal agents executed a search warrant at the address in Jacksonport after the suspect received the package.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says a search of the man’s room turned up heroin, meth, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription narcotics, a gun, and drug paraphernalia.
The man was taken to Door County Jail where he awaits a bond hearing.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says the operation was a joint effort between the DEA, US Postal Inspection Service, Department of Homeland Security, and the Door-Kewaunee Drug Task Force.
