Plan calls for two dozen small cell antennas in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Green Bay Public Works and cell company Mobilitie are proposing a plan to install 26 small cell antennas in the city.

Mobilitie wants to install some of the antennas on utility poles. Some of those poles are owned by Wisconsin Public Service, so a deal would have to be made with WPS as well as the city, Public Works director Steve Grenier tells Action 2 News.

Public Works and Mobilitie are working together on a master plan of locations to present before a committee.

If the plan is approved by the committee, it would be passed on to the full City Council for a vote.
