ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) – If you’re looking for a good way to spend the Packers’ bye week, the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon is hosting a unique event this weekend.
This year marks the fourth annual “Monster Jam” event where souped-up monster trucks race, jump and crash into each other.
Workers prepared for the event on Friday by adding 70 dump truck loads of local dirt to the floor of the Resch Center, where crews are working to build the track and the jumps that the monster trucks will be racing on.
Event organizers say the show takes a lot of preparation, but the extra work is worth the positive reaction it gets.
“To get these loud Monster Jam trucks in here, and to bring 70 loads of dirt in here, it’s a big undertaking,” said Terry Charles of PMI Entertainment. “So it’s worthwhile because of the families and the smiles on the kids faces. It’s always worth it. It’s a good time, and it’s not something you see every day.”
“Monster Jam” will perform two shows on Saturday (at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) and another show at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
