Hundreds turn out for ‘Monster Jam’ show at Resch Center

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) – A massive monster truck event brought hundreds of people to the Resch Center on Saturday.

The “Monster Jam” tour is in town for the fourth year. Six monster truck drivers battled it out, doing wheelies and donuts while going through an obstacle course. The trucks also showed off freestyle skills.

The group tours across the United States and in more than 15 other countries. Event organizers say it’s a unique event with a family-friendly feel.

“The thing is about Monster Jam, these drivers are all about their fans,” said promoter Matt Bacaling. “Everything they do is for their fans. You’ll see them. They get out of their trucks. They’ll win their trophies at the end of their events, and they will literally take it off into the stands and hand it off to a child or a family.”

The last “Monster Jam” show is at 2 p.m. Sunday.
