Two displaced after Allouez garage fire


ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WBAY) – Two people are displaced after a fire broke out in the garage of their Allouez home.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says it was dispatched at 1:12 p.m. Sunday to the 400 block of Memory Court. When crews arrived on scene, they saw a neighbor trying to put out the fire using a garden hose.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames in less than five minutes. Damage, which is estimated at $5,000, was limited to the back of the garage.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The American Red Cross is helping the people who lived at the home.
