At about 5 p.m. Sunday, officers received several calls about a large fight in the 500 block of Dousman Street. A caller reported hearing a single gunshot before the group dispersed and ran off.

Police say Cotton and a teenager had confronted a group of teens as “retaliation for a prior minor argument that occurred in the area.”

A fight broke out. Cotton pulled a gun and threatened someone. A single gunshot was fired, but no one was hit, police say.

One teen suffered minor injuries during the fight, but did not require medical attention.

During the search for Cotton, the SWAT team executed a search warrant at 510 N. Chestnut Avenue. Cotton was not there, but police found several guns. Investigators do not know if any of these weapons was used at the Dousman Street fight.

Cotton is wanted on suspicion of 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Disorderly Conduct.
