Kimberly football holds longest active win streak in the nation

Kimberly, Wis. (WBAY) – The Kimberly High School football team now holds the longest active win streak in the nation at 49 straight wins. Kimberly (7-0) defeated Appleton West on September 30th (45-14) to break the Wisconsin state record previously held by the Manitowoc Ships (1984-1987).

Valle Catholic (Missouri) had won 51 straight games before losing last Friday 50-13. Kimberly now holds the longest active win streak for 11-man football. The Papermakers have not lost in more than 3 years. Its last loss came in the WIAA Level 3 playoff game against Arrowhead (31-7) November 2, 2012. Pahranagat Valley, an 8-man football team from Alamo, NV won its 98th straight win against Beaver Dam (Littlefield, AZ) 62-0 on Friday.

Kimberly will look to extend its streak to 50 on Friday against D.C. Everest.
