Fire engulfs house in Hobart

Overland Road house fire

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – About 60 firefighters answered the call as fire engulfed a house on Overland Road in Hobart.

Neighbors tell us they called 911 after noticing a lot of smoke in the sky around 8:30.

Our Action 2 News crew saw the fire burning on all four sides of the house when they arrived.

Arriving firefighters issued a box alarm, which means multiple fire departments responded. Emergency vehicles filled the street.

Firefighters have been working tirelessly to put out the fire, pouring water on the house. It looks like they put ladders up against the house.

The Hobart fire chief says two people were inside and evacuated before firefighters were on the scene. Their pets were accounted for, too.

No firefighters were injured.

The fire chief says crews will be on the scene well into the night putting out hot spots, and fire investigators are on their way to help determine what started the fire.
