MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers say a project to upgrade Miller Park’s food and beverage areas during the off-season will be the single, largest improvement to the ballpark since it opened in 2001. The approximate $20 million transformation is already underway at Miller Park and is expected to be done by March.

Brewers executive Rick Schlesinger said Wednesday the current concession areas and stands will be ripped out on all four levels of Miller Park, reconfigured and rebuilt.

The restaurant group Hospitality Democracy will bring new local food to the venue, including Zaffiro’s Pizza, Smoke Shack barbecue and AJ Bombers hamburgers. A new bar on the right field side of the loge level will feature 30 taps of craft beer from around Wisconsin.

Schlesinger says project planning has gone on for a year with input from fans.
