GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The public got a final chance to weigh in on the Stadium District master plan.
A meeting was held Wednesday evening at the Tundra Lodge Resort and Conference Center in Green Bay, where people gave their opinions on what they would like to see in the area. The Stadium District would be located near Lombardi Avenue, Ashland Avenue and the village of Ashwaubenon.
For the past nine months, city officials and consultants have been coming up with a draft plan, showcasing redevelopment possibilities that include everything from retail space to hotels and restaurants.
Kevin Vonck, Green Bay’s development director, says public input is necessary because it helps the city narrow down the drafting process.
“We have had a lot of things in the works that we have been talking about,” Vonck said. “It’s really a good chance to just focus and figure out how we want to finish the final pieces.”
The Citizen Steering Committee will get one last chance to make any final tweaks and recommendations to the draft. After that, the city will wrap it up and present a draft plan to City Council for approval.
