Oshkosh Police arrest 3 teens for car thefts


OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh Police say they have arrested three people accused of stealing cars in early September.

The suspects were identified as two 18-year-old Oshkosh men and a 16-year-old Neenah boy.

The older teens were referred to the district attorney’s office. The 16-year-old was referred to the juvenile system.

Police say the trio is suspected of stealing four cars between Sept. 1 and Sept. 12.

Officers are still investigating other car thefts in the city. Since Sept. 12, there have been four reports of stolen vehicles in Oshkosh. All of the cars were left unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle or in the ignition.

Oshkosh Police remind drivers not to leave keys inside an unlocked car.
