Speed limit increases to 70 mph on stretch of I-41

70 miles per hour mph sign

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the speed limit on I-41 is increasing to 70 miles per hour from Abrams going south today (Oct. 7, 2016).

The speed limit was 55 mph during I-41 Project construction, which is now complete.

Northbound I-41 also went up to 70 mph except for a stretch between Lombardi Avenue and Lineville Road that remains under construction.

The DOT says the change is not official until the signs are posted, so stay aware.

The I-41 Project started in 2010 and finished on time, according to the DOT. The remaining work includes landscaping, road repairs, and clean up.
