GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Green Bay Police say officers are investigating after a shooting on the city’s west side.

Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening by either a BB or pellet gun near the Walmart and Sam’s Club on the 2400 block of West Mason Street. He was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Police were dispatched to St. Mary’s Hospital at 8:24 p.m. They said the hospital was put on lockdown, but it wasn’t clear if or when that lockdown was lifted.

No arrests have been made yet. Police say the public is not believed to be in any danger because this was not a random act.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Green Bay Police Department.
