Green Bay Police swears in new officers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay Police Department added three new officers to its force.

They were official sworn in Monday morning. Family members had the honor of pinning on their badges.

Mayor Jim Schmitt says they are an important part of the city’s continued success.

“Green Bay is in a growth mode right now, and we need to continue to attract talented people to Green Bay. That is how we are going to  be successful, and how you do that is to give people a comfort level in their community,” the mayor said.

The police department also swore in a new civilian employee.
