OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh Police have answers now to the death of a 20-year-old man.

They say Daniel S. Tomter, who was from Oshkosh, died from injuries consistent with a fall, according to the autopsy.

Tomter was walking on Wisconsin Street around 3 a.m. Sunday when he fell while crossing Pearl Avenue.

Police put out a public plea on Monday for witnesses to Tomter’s injury. They say he was brought to Mercy Hospital but didn’t know who brought him — friends or Good Samaritans. Now they know it was friends who brought him there.

Tomter was airlifted to a hospital in Madison, where he died Monday shortly after midnight.
