MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is set to visit Wisconsin next week after scuttling an appearance in the wake of criticism over predatory remarks he made about women.
Trump was due to appear in Elkhorn with state Republican leaders on Saturday but House Speaker Paul Ryan said Trump wasn’t welcome at the event after a recording was released featuring the former reality TV star making vulgar comments about grabbing women’s genitals.
Trump’s campaign told The Associated Press late Tuesday afternoon that the candidate will visit the state on Monday. The campaign did not release any other details.
