GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Runners challenged themselves to a unique 5K event in Green Bay on Saturday to raise money for the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation.
“Run for the Hill of It” is a different course with many different types of terrain. People ran across paved roads, dirt roads and hills.
The race had a new twist this year.
“This year for the finish we had something new. It’s King and Queen of the Hill,” said race director Nate Vandervest. “So we’ll get their split time from the bottom of the hill and their finish time at the top. And the fastest person wins a special award from us.”
This was the fourth year for the race. All of the proceeds will go towards revitalizing the Baird Creek area.
