BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – A Brown County deputy is out of the hospital after a crash Monday morning.

The crash happened  just after 6 o’clock on Highway GV near the Highway 172 overpass in Bellevue.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Arthur Adams was going south on GV when a driver going north made a left turn near the westbound Highway 172 off-ramp. The squad car was hit in the driver’s side front tire, pushing the squad several feet off the road.

The squad was heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene, according to officials.

The driver of the other car, who wasn’t identified by authorities, was cited for inattentive driving.

The crash scene was cleared shortly before 7 a.m.
