Jeremy Weber was arrested after a complaint about a car swerving on Interstate 43 around 9 Saturday night.

A sheriff’s deputy found the car on Highway 310 as it was pulling into a Park & Ride.

Police Chief Nick Reimer tells Action 2 News it was Weber’s first OWI offense so he received a traffic citation and remains a full-time officer with the police department. Any disciplinary action will be decided after an investigation by the police department.

“The Manitowoc Police Department takes these allegations seriously, and it is an unfortunate circumstance. As law enforcement officers we are held to a higher standard, and we understand the public deserves much better than this from us,” Chief Reimer said in a statement.
