Turnovers plague Packers

The Packers have zero time to lick their wounds and not much time to heal their wounds as they get set to host the bears on Thursday night.

The one thing they do have time to address is their generosity. The packers turned the ball over 4 times in Sunday’s lackluster loss to the cowboys. It was the third time in 4 games the packers committed multiple turnovers and they lost the turnover margin in all three of those games.

For perspective, they lost the turnover battle in just 3 games *all* of last season. With 9 turnovers in 5 games, the Packers are on pace for 29 this season, which would be the 2nd most in the Mccarthy era. They had 33 his first year as head coach.

“I mean four turnovers is totally unacceptable. Regardless of how it happened. Who it happened to. Aaron, Jordy and Ty you have to take care of the football so four giveaways in a game that doesn’t cut it. It doesn’t even come close to cutting it,” said head coach Mike McCarthy.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers added, “The good thing is it’s all correctable on our side. We haven’t turned the ball over like that in a while. We have got to clean that up. We put five balls on the ground and threw a pick as well. Notoriously our offense has done well because we’ve been efficient but we don’t turn the football over so we got to fix that quickly.”
