HOBART, Wis. (WBAY) – The Village of Hobart Wednesday will start a new phase of its master plan: breaking ground on a new retail space called the Centennial Centre Marketplace.
The development will be located on Centennial Centre Boulevard near new luxury residences off Highway 29.
The development will include two anchor businesses: a veterinary clinic and a chiropractic clinic. Leasing is in progress for the rest of the retail space.
The space is designed specifically for expansion and future growth. The vision: a place where people can work, shop, and dine.
Plans to build a downtown in Hobart have been in the works since 2009. Work started in 2015 with the construction of the luxury residences.
Village leaders want to attract millennials and empty-nesters to Hobart.
The Centennial Centre Marketplace is expected to open next spring.
Wednesday’s groundbreaking is scheduled for 3 p.m.
