WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ (WBAY) – Another poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senate candidate Russ Feingold leading their Republican rivals in Wisconsin with less than three weeks until the election.

A Monmouth University Poll released Oct. 19 gives Hillary Clinton a 7-point lead over Donald Trump in Wisconsin, 47 percent to 40 percent.

The results are similar to a recent Marquette University Law School Poll and St. Norbert College Strategic Research Institute Poll. In the Marquette poll, Clinton holds a 7 point lead over Trump, 44-37 percent. In the St. Norbert poll, Clinton enjoys an 8 point lead in Wisconsin, 47-39 percent.

In August, the Monmouth Poll showed Clinton with a 5-point edge over Trump.

The Monmouth poll also looked at how the rocky relationship between Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan of Janesville and candidate Trump impacts the race. One-in-five voters says Ryan has been too supportive of Trump, 33 percent say he has not been supportive enough, and 36 percent say he’s given the candidate the right amount of support. Among Trump supporters, 68 percent say Ryan has not given enough support to the candidate.

As for the U.S. Senate race, the Monmouth University Poll shows Feingold with an 8-point lead over incumbent Republican Ron Johnson, 52 percent to 44 percent.

The U.S. Senate results have varied in other polls. The Marquette University Law School Poll showed Feingold with a slight, 48-46 percent lead over Johnson. However, the St. Norbert College Strategic Research Institute Poll gives Feingold a 12-point lead over Johnson, 52 percent to 40 percent.

The website RealClear Politics looks at polling data and finds the average. Taking the results of five recent polls on the Wisconsin Senate race, RealClear Politics found that Feingold is averaging a 4.8-point lead over Johnson.

The Monmouth Poll was conducted by Monmouth University Polling Institute, Oct. 15-18. The pollsters interviewed 403 likely Wisconsin voters by telephone. The margin of error was +/- 4.9 percent.

Clinton and Trump square off Wednesday night in the final presidential debate before the election. You can watch it live at 8 p.m. on WBAY-TV 2.
