CHAMPION, Wis. (WBAY) – A world-famous statue of the Virgin Mary is on display Thursday and Friday at The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.
The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima is one of two “twin” statues sculpted in 1947 by famous sculptor Jose Thedim. Its visit to Champion is one of 100 stops for the Fatima Statue.
The statue is making a 21-month journey across America to honor the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima, Portugal.
After its stop in Champion, the statue will be in Green Bay’s Saints Peter and Paul Parish from Friday to Sunday.
