Manitowoc Police seek junk food bandits

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WBAY) – Manitowoc Police are searching for junk food bandits who stole hundreds of bags of snacks from a locked vehicle.

The department is offering a $500 reward through the Crime Stoppers program for information leading to an arrest.

On Oct. 27 at 7:10 a.m., police were called to a business near the Manitowoc County Airport.

Investigators believe at least two suspects broke into a locked vehicle and stole more than 500 medium-sized bags of Frito Lay snacks. Also stolen: a “large amount” of change from inside the vehicle and some Department of Transportation paperwork.

Police say the suspects loaded the stolen snacks, change, and paperwork into a nearby vehicle and drove away.
