KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WBAY) – Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) toured several farms in the Green Bay and Fond du Lac areas on Saturday as he campaigns for re-election.
Action 2 News spoke with him during a stop at a Kaukauna farm. There, he talked about agricultural and farm issues, as well as creating more jobs in Wisconsin.
Sen. Johnson says he’s confident voters can appreciate his platform.
“I’ve got my own race to run here in the Senate,” he said. “I’ve been pretty consistent. I’ve been supporting areas of agreement. It’s what a business person does.”
Sen. Johnson is running against Democrat Russ Feingold. Several polls show Feingold is leading in the race.
