Seven Packers out for game against Falcons

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay Packers have announced that seven players will not be available to play in Sunday afternoon’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Wide receiver Ty Montgomery is out with an illness that isn’t believed to be serious, according to ESPN’s and Cover 2 contributor Rob Demovsky. Wide receiver Randall Cobb has a hamstring injury, cornerbacks Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins both have groin injuries, linebacker Clay Matthews has a hamstring injury, running back James Starks has a knee injury, and tight end Jared Cook has an ankle injury.

Wide receiver Davante Adams will start in place of Cobb, tight end Richard Rodgers will start in place of Cook, running back Don Jackson will start in place of Starks, linebacker Julius Peppers will start in place of Matthews, cornerback Demetri Goodson will start in place of Randall, and cornerback LaDarius Gunter will start in place of Rollins.
