GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Some Green Bay Packers’ wives and girlfriends want you to give a kid a book this holiday season.
Molly Crosby, Monica Goode and Jessica McCarthy are helping the Give-a-Kid-a-Book campaign run by Friends of the Brown County Library.
They’re hoping you can donate a new, unwrapped book before December 10.
They’ll be given to thousands of Brown County kids in low-income families during the holidays.
At Tuesday morning’s campaign kickoff at the central library in downtown Green Bay, several students from Howe Elementary talked about what books mean to them.
“I like to get stuck in a book. For example, when I’m reading ‘Goosebumps’ books I really, like, I really feel like I’m inside the book or the stuff or problems is happening to me,” one girl said.
