Oshkosh students turn downtown into Dr. Seuss’s Whoville

Student painting Oshkosh business window

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Halloween just ended but some students in Oshkosh are already preparing for Christmastime.

Art students from 1st through 12th grades painted downtown business windows and transformed the city into Whoville.

This is the second year students are painting windows inspired by Dr. Seuss’s classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

The windows will be the backdrop for the annual Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade on November 17 and the Whoville Family Event on November 19.

“As you can see they’re doing a fabulous job. It’s amazing to me the talent they have. We all have talent, but I’m just in awe of what they are doing,” Sandy Prunty, a member of the Holiday Committee, said.
