MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) – Green Bay Preble faced Middleton in the WIAA state soccer tournament in Milwaukee.

Preble was down 1-nil in the second period of the Division 1 semifinal, when the Hornets, off the cross, found Ben Weltzien with his back to the goal. He got his head on the ball and bounced it in for a 1-1 tie.

The game was in overtime, in the 99th minute, when the Hornets launched one into the box. Off the loose ball, Cameron Bosacki kicked his leg back and fired away. Middleton’s goalie dropped to the ground after he saw the ball push the net.

Preble won 2-1 and will seek their first state title when they face two-time defending champ Milwaukee Marquette on Saturday.
