ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WBAY) – Police are looking for the person who robbed a bank just outside Green Bay Friday evening.
Chase Bank at Libal Street and Greene Avenue in Allouez was robbed just before 6 p.m., when a man slipped a piece of paper to a worker.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says the note and the robber’s actions made the bank employee afraid he was threatening force and may be armed, though he didn’t show a weapon.
No one was hurt.
The robber got away with cash.
He was a white man appearing to be in his 20’s, 5’10” tall with a thin build. He wore a maroon hoodie and blue jeans, sunglasses, gloves. He used a fake mustache, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office says.
The sheriff’s office says the robbery happened at closing time and no customers were in the bank, only employees.
Deputies say they’re following leads on a possible suspect, and they don’t believe the public is in danger, but they’re asking anyone who observes suspicious behavior to report it.
