GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – A woman suspected of trying to kill her father by setting fires inside his Green Lake County home was taken into custody, a day after authorities alerted the public they were looking for Cynthia Stark-Griffin.
Stark-Griffin, 57, was recognized by a sales clerk in West Bend Tuesday. The clerk called 911 just after noon, and West Bend police took the suspect into custody without incident.
Stark-Griffin was wanted on a warrant for attempted homicide and arson to a residence.
The fires were set early Sunday morning in a home on Rex Street in the Town of Marquette, near the southwest corner of Big Green Lake. The fires were out by the time deputies arrived and no one was hurt.
Authorities were concerned that Stark-Griffin was armed with a handgun and shotgun and was traveling with two dogs that are reportedly vicious.
