Three hurt in Manitowoc County crash

MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Three people suffered serious injuries in a crash at County Highway A and County Highway X in Manitowoc County.

The Sheriff’s Office says rescue crews responded to a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Meeme at about 1:18 p.m. Monday.

The preliminary investigation found that a vehicle traveling north on CTH A was struck when a westbound vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with CTH X.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 79-year-old Cleveland, Wisconsin woman, was airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries.

Two people in the westbound vehicle were also hurt. A 54-year-old Manitowoc man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.

His passenger, a 24-year-old Manitowoc woman, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. She suffered serious injuries.

Names are being withheld at this time.

The crash is under investigation.
