WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Two people were airlifted from the scene of a crash in Waupaca County early Friday morning.
At about 2:29 a.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Colrue Rd in the Town of St. Lawrence.
First responders found the driver on the pavement with a passerby attending to him.
A female passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the car went into a ditch and hit several trees.
The driver and passenger had critical but non-life threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
They were airlifted to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah.
The crash is under investigation.
