OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – An Outagamie County Judge says there’s enough evidence to put Vance Reed on trial for the murders of an Oneida husband and wife.
A criminal complaint says Reed, 19, got into an argument with Harry Brown Bear after a day of drinking.
Prosecutors say Reed slit Brown Bear’s throat before stabbing the man’s wife, Lorraine, back in September.
Their bodies were found about a week later when police were asked to check on their welfare.
Reed was arrested last month after investigators say they connected him to the murders through DNA evidence.
The judge found probable cause on the two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and bound the case over for trial. Reed will have an arraignment later this month, on November 28.
Reed’s bond is set at one million dollars cash.
