BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Project VOTE has named the winners of the Brown County Voter Challenge for the 2016 presidential election.
The Town of Pittsfield saw 91.6 percent of registered voters cast a ballot, making it the winner among municipalities with populations below 10,000.
For larger communities, Suamico took home the title with 84.2 percent voter turnout.
“Suamico typically has a high voter turnout. We are fortunate for that we do little bit more advertising on our leader board, we put it on our website, but normally the voters in Suamico do have a good turnout,” said Bonnie Swan, Village Clerk.
Overall, voter turnout topped 76 percent in each Brown County municipality.
Project VOTE is a nonprofit organization that encourages Brown County residents to get out and vote.
