PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WBAY) – People in Plymouth got to dig up a piece of their past and crack it open on Friday.
An old, rusted safe was recently found buried at Stayer Park.
City officials think it was from the old foundry and they wanted to know what was inside.
There was plenty of excitement as a crowd gathered at city hall for the big reveal. What they found was:
- Black lock box (it was empty)
- Records book from 1963
- Two knives
- Blank ledger
- Box of matches
- Light bulb
- Several cigar boxes
