GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The 33rd Annual Holiday Parade hit the streets of downtown Green Bay on Saturday.
Although it was a little cold, the snowfall set the tone and made it a lot more fun.
“Today we’re at the Holiday Parade in downtown Green Bay with my kids and my sister and my nephew, and it’s awesome because it’s snowing,” said Kelly Dietz.
A lot of folks who came out say the parade is a family tradition, and it’s a way to get excited for the holidays.
Community groups marched down the downtown streets, and there were some proud parents standing in as part of the audience.
“We’ve been here the last three years because our son is participating in the parade,” said Joe Vetter. “He was in Franklin Middle School choir for three years, and today is his freshman performance for West High School marching band. He’s playing clarinet.”
Many said the holiday season starts off with the parade.
