DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) – A Stevens Point man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involving in a half-dozen bank robberies in Wisconsin, mostly in our corner of the state.
Jason Kiedrowski, 39, admitted robbing six banks and credit unions, including in Appleton, De Pere, Fond du Lac, Grand Chute, Janesville and Eau Claire.
The robberies took place from February to July 2015, until an alert woman — who happened to work as a bank teller in a different city — noticed a man dressed too warm for summer riding a bike too small for him to a car parked one block away. She got his license plate and reported it to police — who were at that time investigating a robbery at Unison Credit Union.
Kiedrowski will spend the first 7 years of his sentence in a state prison followed by 3 years in a federal prison.
