Heinz recalling some gravy due to labeling mistake

CHICAGO, IL (WBAY) – Check your cupboards before you serve those mashed potatoes to your Thanksgiving guests.

Heinz says it is recalling Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy because some jars may be mislabled as Heinz Pork Gravy.

The mix up could be serious for people who have allergies, because the label doesn’t say that it contains milk and soy.

The company says there have been no reports of illnesses related to the mislabed gravy.

The Food and Drug Administration says the 12 oz. jars have a Best By date of 12/28/2017 and the manufacturing code MU6F04 4Q XX:XX.

Customers should not eat the recalled gravy, according to the FDA. Instead return it to the store for an exchange or refund. Questions? Call 1-866-572-3808.
