Off-road vehicles manufactured by Wisconsin company recalled

STURTEVANT, Wis. (WBAY) – Side-by-side off-road vehicles manufactured by BRP of Sturtevant, Wis., are being recalled because drivers can lose steering control and crash.

The recall involves various 2017 models of the Can-Am Maverick X3 — the STD, XDS and XRS. They were sold since August for $23,000 to $27,000.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says complaints include intermittent or complete steering lock. There are 33 reports of incidents but no injuries.

Owners should stop using the vehicles and contact a Can-Am dealers to schedule an appointment for a free repair. BRP is notifying registered owners directly.
