Christian Outreach prepares for Thanksgiving dinner at Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Christian Outreach volunteers are getting ready for a big Thanksgiving dinner at Lambeau Field on Thursday.

They were in the Lambeau Field atrium on Wednesday, preparing desserts and setting up tables.

It’s all part of the group’s annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Dinner. They have been doing it since 1980.

Nearly 400 people came out to help on Wednesday.

“The neat thing is we are still getting emails asking if we need help,” said Jessica Zeitler, president of the Christian Outreach Ecumenical Thanksgiving Ministry. “So it’s always a sad thing to say no we don’t, but it just warms our heart because the need for people that want to volunteer is out there.”

Christian Outreach works with local agencies to help feed those who wish to attend.

Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Pre-registration was required to be served in the atrium or receive a home delivery.
