GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A Green Bay man is charged with two felonies after police say he shot at a woman’s car.
Dominique Smith, 20, is charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety and reckless use of a firearm. He appeared in Brown County court Wednesday afternoon.
Police say he shot at the back of the car driven by the mother of his child Tuesday on Deckner Avenue, near Main Street. The woman told police she drove Smith home and asked for gas money. He didn’t give her any, and he shot at her as she was driving away.
Police found three holes in the back of her car, including the trunk and bumper.
The woman wasn’t hurt.
The shooting prompted nearby schools to briefly go on lockdown.
According to the criminal complaint, Smith says he has psychiatric issues but can’t afford to see a psychiatrist.
