GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Thanksgiving came a day early, courtesy of the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay.

The Corps’ noon feeding program at the Community Center on Union Court featured a Thanksgiving-worthy feast on Wednesday.

Volunteers from the Green Bay West Rotary Club served turkey, taters and all the trimmings for free.

“A lot of the people here are lonely and this is a great outlet for them. Whenever we do something special like this, we always have more people come out and join us,” Salvation Army Major Robert Mueller said.

The Salvation Army serves a hot lunch, free of charge, Monday through Friday for anyone who wants to come.
