APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – A Kaukauna man was sentenced Monday to six years in prison for two robberies in the Fox Valley earlier this year.
Justin Posey, 42, was convicted of two counts of armed robbery in Outagamie County for robbing a Walgreens and a La Quinta Inn & Suites. The robberies were committed within two weeks of each other in January.
Posey was caught in February after police released photos of a suspect in a series of gas drive-offs. Posey called to turn himself in, and during questioning he admitted to the three robberies. Police released the photos from the gasoline thefts knowing the vehicle matched one used in the Walgreens robbery.
After he serves his prison sentence, Posey will be on extended supervision for eight years.
Posey is waiting to be sentenced in January in Winnebago County for an armed robbery at Midway Marathon in Menasha in 2015.
