GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Green Bay Packers picked the centerpiece of the upcoming Festival of Lights at Lambeau Field.
Margaret Buchmann and her daughter Suzanna Berkovitz donated their family’s spruce.
Crews harvested from the front yard of their house on Waterford Drive on the west side of Green Bay and brought it to Lambeau Field’s Harlan Plaza.
“We were pretty jacked. I mean, we’re lifelong Packers fans and stuff so, I mean it’s kind of an honor for us, but yeah, it’s a big tree,” Buchmann’s grandson Matt Berkovitz said.
The tree will be decorated this week with more than 10,000 lights for Saturday’s family-friendly event.
