PHILADELPHIA, PA (WBAY) – Football fans had a social media meltdown when Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers entered a tent on Monday Night Football.
No one seemed to know what was going on, so fans shared their theories on Twitter, growing the legend of this “mystery tent.” Think Clark Kent transforming into Superman.
Deadspin asked: “What was Aaron Rodgers doing in this weird tent?”
After the game, the quarterback explained everything. Rodgers said he went in the privacy tent because he had to “drop his drawers.” Before your mind goes to the gutter, he was getting taped up for a hamstring injury and didn’t want to expose himself on national television.
Former Packer AJ Hawk confirmed that the tent is used for bathroom breaks and privacy.
That sore hammy didn’t impact his play. Rodgers had an impressive game. He had 313 passing yards and threw two touchdowns. The Packers defeated the Eagles 27-13.
Superstitious fans want to keep this tent around for Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field. The Packers play the Texans at noon.
